The local prototype supports PDF/PPTX uploads, local EmbeddingGemma indexing, selected-file retrieval, Gemini answers, source citations and exam-ready formatting. Optional personal Gemini keys are supported. The study workspace is not hosted on this website yet.
Handwriting and image OCR, topic summaries beyond sampled excerpts, quizzes and flashcards are still planned. Answers can make mistakes: citations help you check them, and missing material should produce a refusal rather than an invented answer.

HOW YOUR MATERIAL IS HANDLED
Understand what gets shared.
In the local prototype, files and search embeddings stay on the user's computer. When answer generation is enabled, the question and retrieved excerpts are sent to Google. Personal-key usage follows that account's Google billing and data terms; some free-tier content may be used for product improvement.
This public landing page has no upload form, accounts, API keys or waitlist form. Hosting may process technical request information. Do not submit private notes through the public website.

StudyMargin is an early founder-led product for university students in the UAE. The current answer provider is Gemini. Claude integration is planned, subject to API access; the product is not currently powered by or endorsed by Anthropic.
